Norman McCloskey Books

Client: Norman McCloskey
Project Type: Book Design

Anchor Studio designed photographer Norman McCloskey's trilogy of stunning landscape photography books: Beara, Kingdom, and Headlands. There is great creative synergy between Anchor Studio and Norman, evident across the unified design of these publications.

The first book, Beara, features previously unseen work and sheds new light on the spectacular Beara Peninsula. Anchor Studio designed this 120-page hardcover, featuring 90 powerful images. The iconic, tactile foil-blocked cover pays homage to the peninsula’s rich history of copper mining. Kingdom follows, presenting the epic landscape of County Kerry with 100 photographs. Anchor Studio designed the cover to elegantly present Kerry gold in a soft-toned textured foil, accented by an embossed black print of Skellig Michael. The final monograph, Headlands, returns to West Corkand features 114 stunning images captured along the coast and inland. The publication also includes a foreword by renowned photographer Bruce Percy. Anchor Studio's design approach ensures Headlands seamlessly concludes the series, reinforcing the creative synergy shared with Norman McCloskey.
